OVERVIEW

The TMP102 device is a digital temperature sensor ideal for NTC/PTC (Negative Temperature Coefficient/Positive Temperature Coefficient) thermistor replacement where high accuracy is required. This sensor offers an accuracy of ±0.5°C without requiring calibration or external component signal conditioning. Device temperature sensors are highly linear and do not require complex calculations or lookup tables to derive the temperature. The on-chip 12-bit ADC offers resolutions down to 0.0625°C.

TMP102 device features SMBus, two-wire and I2C interface compatibility, and allows up to four devices on one I2C bus. The device also features an SMBus alert function.The device is specified to operate over supply voltages from 1.4 to 3.6 V.

Supply Range: 1.4V to 3.6V
Resolution: 12 bits
Communication: I2C protocol @ 400KHz frequency
Slave address can be configured through AD0 hardware pin to 0x48, 0x49, 0x4A, or 0x4B.

TMP102 object provides following settings to let you configure the object.

Slave Address Selection

The TMP102 sensor has an address pin (AD0) to allow up to four device to be addressed on a signal I2C bus. The following table describes the pin logic levels used to properly connect up to four devices.

I2C Slave Address	AD0 Pin Connection
0x48	Ground
0x49	V+
0x4A	SDA (pin 6)
0x4B	SCL (pin 1)

If you connect AD0 to Ground (Default Setting)
